We offer professional licensed tour guide on all our sightseeing holidays and there will be local nature guide in the Jungle tours, rafting guide for the river holidays and there will be trained trekking guide (handles the logistics and guide you and your team on the trek)  on our trekking holidays, hiking holiday and adventure holiday and a Sherpa when there are 10 or more members in the group and porters to carry your luggage and there will be 1 porter for 2 members and a porter will carry about 20kg means 10 KG from each trekker and we will provide licensed climbing guide for climbing holidays.

We offer porters to your main luggage on our trekking holiday, hiking holiday, some stay treks and adventure holidays, you simply carry a day pack with water bottle, camera, sun-screen, spare jacket, etc. - a small load that allows full enjoyment of the trekking. A trek bag is ideal for your main luggage, plus a small lockable bag for travel clothes and anything that you do not need during trek which you can leave at hotel’s locker room/safe deposit box in Kathmandu for free of charge. Weight allowance at Nepal’s domestic airlines is 15 Kg; excess weight is chargeable at USD 1 or more per Kilo depending on sectors and a porter will carry up to 20 KG and there will be 1 porter for each 2 trekkers which mean 10 KG form each and if you will be planning for longer trek and need to bring much stuff then you might need extra porter as well.

When you have tours holidays in Nepal then the luggage is not a problem as our vehicle will drive from one place to other places.

Each morning after packing our bags and hot breakfast at campsite or lodge, we set off on the day’s trek and after walking for 3-4 hours, we stop for lunch at around midday at the camp or available lodge/restaurants which may take 1-2 hours for lunch and will start the trek again, The afternoon’s walk is generally shorter and we usually arrive at our destination in time for afternoon tea. The remainder of the afternoon can be spent exploring the village and surroundings, doing a bit of washing or simply relaxing with a good book. On some days, we will arrive at our destination by lunchtime and the entire afternoon will be free. After dinner, the evening will often be spent playing cards and reliving the day’s adventures, before retiring for a well-earned sleep.

The Wonderful Environment of the Himalayas is also an extremely fragile one. Increasing population density and numbers of travelers threaten the very beauty of Nepal. At Escape Nepal, we are extremely conscious about the environment and aim to minimize our impact as much as possible. As deforestation is one of the greatest environmental threats we face in this region, we do not encourage camp fires and encourage use of kerosene for cooking as an alternative fuel to wood. We also discourage trekkers from using wood-fuelled hot showers in lodges along the way. Many lodges, however, now have solar hot showers, a far more eco-friendly alternative.

Garbage disposal is another major problem and some of the busier trails can, at times, appear strewn with litter for miles. Our staff members are well motivated towards eco-friendly practices. We carry out all our garbage, apart from that which can be safely and easily burnt at the campsite. Our aim is to help protect and preserve this beautiful environment for future generations of trekkers to enjoy and we advise the same to you to keep the garbage on proper site and take return those with you to homes which are Non- biodegradable.

We at Escape Nepal would like to requests the following things and to be a responsible tourist:

  • Leave only footprints and take only photographs.
  • Use designated routes, campsites and resting places to reduce trampling and other negative environmental impacts.
  • Respect local culture and traditions, use home stays, locally owned hotels/ lodges or campsites as much as possible to support the local livelihood.
  • Avoid/ minimize using firewood. Use common space for heating. Opt for alternatives to minimize deforestation.
  • Maintain cleanliness and hygiene. Use the litter box locally available. Carry back your own garbage while traveling through ecologically sensitive areas.
  • Encourage to place mobile toilets at a considerable distance from sources of water, river banks and springs while camping along the river sides.
  • Use the services of local guides and porters as much as possible to explore more about local environment and culture.
  • Money spent here will contribute directly to the local livelihood, women’s empowerment and environmental conservation.
  • Before you begin your journey we request you to abide by the above guidelines in order to safeguard the nature and culture of the area and be a responsible tourist.
