You explore Kathmandu that includes visit of Kathmandu Durbar Squire, Swyambhunath, Pasupatinath Temple and Bouddhanath Stupa. Further, you travel to Pokhara and go on 5 days Ghorepani- Poon Hill Trek. The trek is one of the popular trek in Nepal and offers great views beautiful Himalayas. You take short drive to Nayapul and start trek to Ghorepani. You have overnight stay in Tikhedunga on the way to Ghorepani. Once you reach Ghorepani and hike to Poon hill, you trek further to Tadapani and Ghandruk and to Pokhara.

You then go for Jungle safari in Chitwan National park, the Chitwan national park is one of the best parks in Nepal, established in 1973 AD, where you have a look of various species of birds, plants and animals including wildlife, floras and faunas. Chitwan is situated only 150m above the sea level, during the March-June the steamy covers all the way around. Whereas the short grass of Feb-May the best game-viewing season, but the autumn months are gorgeous with Himalayan views.

You are met and greeted by our airport representative/driver on your arrival at Kathmandu airport. He transfer you to the hotel and help you to check in to the hotel.  The evening is free and after you’ve refreshed, you can go for a stroll down the street to get familiar with your surroundings.

After having Breakfast at hotel, you go on guided sightseeing tour in Kathmandu. You are escorted by a professional tour guide to visit Kathmandu.  The tour include include Kathmandu Durbar Square, Monkey Temple, Pashupatinath Temple and Baudhanath Stupa and all these sites are UNESCO world heritage cultural sites.

Our guide will drop you to Hotel once the tour is complete. You then have free evening to look around and buy some trekking gear if you need.

After early breakfast at hotel, the trek guide will come to pick you up and he take you to bus station to drive to Pokhara by tourist bus. The drive goes along the scenic Trisuli and Marsyangdi River valley to reach Pokhara.

After 6 - 7 hours (depends on traffic) of drive, you arrive in Pokhara, the city of lakes. Check in to the hotel and evening is free to explore yourself or our guide will take to to walk around the lakeside and Phewa lake.

After having breakfast at the hotel, you drive to Nayapul that takes one and half hours, you then start the trek for today and this is a pretty easy flat path hike as you pass through several small lively villages and settlements. You ascend gently to the final destination of the day to reach Tikhedunda.

After having hot breakfast at lodge, you start trek by ascending steeply up for the first 2 hours then the trail ascend gently passing through Ulleri (2070m.) and Banthanti villages.

The trail offers breathtaking views of Machhapuchhare (6997m.), Hiunchuli (6441m.) and the grand Annapurna (7219m) south on the way.

The trail now gets quite easy going as you pass through rhododendron and shadowy forests amidst the cackling of birds which gives good feelings till you ascend gently up to the final camp to the Ghorepani.

Today, you hike to Poonhill (3210m.) very early in morning to enjoy the sunrise views over Mt. Dhaulagiri (8167m.), Tukuche Peak (6920m.), Nilgiri (6940m.), Varaha Shikhar (7847m.), Mt. Annapurna I (8091m.), Annapurna South (7219m.), Annapurna III (7855m.), Machhapuchhare (6993m.), Annapurna IV (7525m.), Annapurna II (7937m.), Lamjung Himal (6931m.) and other numerous snow capped mountains. The Poonhill has always been a symbol of beauty for the Annapurna region.

You then return down to Ghorepani to have hot breakfast. You then start trek to Tadapani (2650m.). Most part of the trails today goes through blooming rhododendron forest, the beautiful flower makes the jungle colorful in spring when they bloom.

Check in to the lodge in Tadapani and evening is free.

After breakfast at lodge, the trek starts for today and It is easy trek today by descending gently all the way through rhododendron, oak and other kinds of dense forests.

The Ghandruk is a big Gurung village, there is a handicraft center and Gurung museum and You can see the views of Annapurna South, Hiunchuli, Gangapurna (7455m.), Annapurna III (7755m.) and Fishtail from Ghandruk.

After breakfast at Lodge, you start  trek to Nayapul.  today is the last day trek and it is easy trek by descending gently half of the way through the rice field and local villages to Syauli bazaar and flat trail to Nayapul.

You stop at Birethati to have lunch. Trek about half an hour to Nayapul from Birethati where our vehicle will be stand by to drive you back to Pokhara.

After an early breakfast at hotel, you drive to Chitwan that takes about 6-7 hours (depends on traffic) hours and check into our jungle lodge.  After you are refreshed, you have lunch and a brief about the tours and activities will be given. Go on a Tharu village tour in the evening.

After breakfast at lodge, you go on full day of jungle activities in Chitwan National park. The tour include Jungle walking, Canoe ride, Jeep safari and you also enjoy a scintillating Tharu cultural stick dance that’s real exciting to watch in the evening.

After breakfast, you go for an interesting bird watching tour in the morning. You then drive to Kathmandu that takes about 6-7 hours (depends on traffic) and check into the hotel and evening is free to make last minute shopping.

Extra night hotel in Kathmandu pre or post the Best of Nepal Adventure is available at US $ 55.00 at 3 star hotel including breakfast and airport transfers.

Let us know if you arrive earlier or stay in Nepal later than the schedule date of Best of Nepal Adventure then we can book the extra nights as per your need.

Transportation Used on Best of Nepal Adventure

We provide private vehicle for airport transfers & tour in Kathmandu and tourist bus transport for Kathmandu- Pokhara – Chitwan- Kathmandu.

However, you have options to drive by private car/jeep from Kathmandu -Pokhara –Chitwan- Kathmandu or short flight from Kathmandu – Pokhara and from Chitwant to Kathmandu.

Please, do let us know if you want to upgrade the modes of transport to private vehicle or flights.

Electricity and battery charge facility on Best of Nepal Adventure

There is electricity available in Kathmandu, Pokhara, Chitwan and in most of the villages of trek part of this adventure where can charges your camera/mobile batteries and it may cost you some fee to recharge them.

However, we strongly suggest you to have spare batteries in case of not availability.

Guide and Crew on Best of Nepal Adventure

We provide professional tourist guide for a day tour in Kathmandu on day two and trained trekking guide for the whole trek who handles the logistics and guide you and your team on trek.

We also provide you a Sherpa (assistant guide) when there are 8 or more members in the group. We provide porters to carry your main luggage trek part. There is 1 porter for each 2 members and a porter carry about 20 - 22kg which means 10- 11 KG from each trekker.

We provide you trained nature guide for the Jungle safari part in Chitwan National park.

Moderate level of fitness is required with daily walking/trekking from between 3 hours to 7 hours on best of Nepal adventure.

You will reach an altitude of 3210m above sea level on this tour. You do not really need to have previous trekking experience however, you need to be healthy and strong desire and stamina to complete the trek with positive thoughts.

Yes, you get airport pick up on your arrival at Kathmandu airport once you book best of Nepal adventure however, the free airport pick up and drop service is available only if you arrive and departure on our schedule dates. If you arrive or return on different dates then some extra cost may apply for these transfer services.

Escape Nepal’s representative/driver will be stand by at the airport pick you up and transfer to designate hotel. He will have Escape Nepal placard or your name written in the paper so, find him when you exit from the airport.

Important Note on rrival: There can be many people around you to support you to carry your luggage or to put your luggage in the vehicle when you exit from Airport and they ask for money as tip at the end (These people are not belong to us).

So, be careful of them and we advise you not let them to carry your bag/luggage. We suggest you to take your bag/luggage yourself until you put them on our vehicle as there are many trolleys that you can use free of cost.

The best of Nepal adventure is available and doable all throughout the year, however the autumn (from mid-September till mid-December) and spring (from the beginning of March until May end) are the best time the best of Nepal adventure.

Yes, you need to have some permits to do best of Nepal adventure. You are required to have Annapurna conservation area entry, TIM’s and Chitwan national park entry permits.

We at Escape Nepal apply and get these permits for you once you book this tour.

No, your main luggage on will be carried by porter on trek part of best of Nepal adventure. You will simply carry a day pack with water bottle, camera, sun-screen, spare jacket, etc. as small load allows you full enjoyment of the trek.

Yes, Children are allowed on best of Nepal adventure however they should be healthy and fit enough to complete trek part. The best of Nepal adventure is child friendly tour in Nepal and one of the tour in Nepal for the children and students.

However, We at Escape Nepal allowed only 10 or above children to join our group tour of best of Nepal adventure and when you plan with children under 10 years then we suggest you to do the private tour without other strangers and only with the children as different people may have different trekking pace so, when you do the private tour then the children get extra care and can trek on their pace.

Yes, however the tip for all services provided on best of Nepal adventure is always a matter of personal discretion, however please be aware that tip is considered to be a part of their normal remuneration, thus they may approach you for tip and there is no need to be intimidated by the request.

Tips are not included and just to give an idea that US$ 5 from each member for tour guide (day 2), US $ 3 from each member for driver (day 2) and total of US 70.00 from each members for the trek part to divide guide and porters are recommended (it depends on the size of the group you traveling so, our trek guide will give you clearer idea when the trek come to end).

Yes, you need some money for personal expenses and the personal and these expenses depend largely on your habit.

Most of the meals are provided and included in the cost. You need some money for table drinks (alcoholic/nonalcoholic beverages), for some meals in Kathmandu and Pokhara snacks while trekking (some smaller shops are available along the trail in the areas), souvenirs, hot shower (you have to pay in some places) etc...

If you do not drink alcohol and sopping then US $12-15 per day per person should be enough these extra expenses.

Yes, we strongly recommend you to buy travel insurance that covers many things and rescue in case of a serious sickness or injury while on trek.

We do everything to make the successful trek however there is always some risk on mountain trek and the evacuation by helicopter in Nepal is very expensive so, it is always better to be safe and covered by the insurance.

Total of 25 meals (11 breakfasts, 6 lunches and 6 dinners) are provided on our best of Nepal adventure package. These meals are taken in lodges/hotels as the breakfasts and dinners are taken at the lodge where stay overnights and lunch at the lodge available along the trail, our guide will stop and provide lunch at lunch time.

We provide you meals in hotel/resort while on Chitwan national park.

You can find a wide variety of Nepali and Western meals on this trail however Nepali set meal (Dal Bhat is available everywhere). The drinks like coffee, tea, milk, soft drinks, and beer etc...also available in all places and note that these drinks are not included our price.

We suggest you to bring water purification pills/medicine while coming for the best of Nepal adventure since you can have normal water for free so, you use the medicine and drink or you have option to buy bottled or boiled/safe water to drink.

We provide good hotel for 7 nights (3 nights in Kathmandu, 2 nights in Pokhara & Chitwan) and simple lodge/teahouse accommodation for rest of the 4 nights on trek part. The rooms are basic, normally just a bed with a pillow and blankets on available lodges and of them are very basic and a sense of adventure is necessary.

We wish that you won’t have AMS or any other sickness on Best of Nepal adventure. However, there is always risk of AMS (Altitude mountain sickness) while going on mountain trek, so, we have to be careful about it.

Our guide will provide you information to avoid the AMS while on trek however if incase if you or any member of group get AMS then we do everything to bring you back safely.

The action depends on the situation and the place people get sick as such if you get AMS and still able to walk up then we take a day rest (while other continue the trek) with one of the porter/guide and we see how the situation will improve and we can continue trek from next day if the situation gets better.

If there is not any improvement or even worse, we do not have other option rather return the same trail as descending down is only way to get rid from AMS or if the situation gets really worse and you either can go up or down then we rescue/evacuate and bring you back to Kathmandu to visit doctor.

The cost of evacuation by helicopter is expensive in Nepal and it is almost impossible to pay by the people so, we strongly suggest you to buy insurance policy that covers the evacuation in the worst situation.

No, International flights to arrive Nepal and to return from Nepal are not included in our itinerary and price of best of Nepal adventure.

You have to search and book suitable international flight to arrive Nepal and return from Nepal yourself. There are plenty of international airlines that make flight to Nepal.

Yes, you can add mountain flight tour in the morning of day 2 before Kathmandu tour starts and Trisuli River Rafting for 3 hours on day 3 while you drive to Pokhara and these activities does not need any extra days.

Furthermore, if you have some extra days then you can add Tibet Lhasa Tour in Tibet or Bhutan Tour in Bhutan.

Equipment is very important to make comfortable and successful trek. So, you need to pack your gear carefully and pack only the things that you need on trek. You should not pack anything that you do not need on trek and should not miss anything that you need for the trek.

To help you to pack your gear, we have given some list that you should not miss while you packing for the best of Nepal adventure in Nepal.


  • Four seasons sleeping bag (we provide you one if required and it to be returned after the trek).
  • Duffel or Rucksack bag to keep all your gear and this will be carried by the porter.
  • Daypack for yourself to keep your personal things such as camera, water, things that you need for the day and this is carried by you.
  • A small lockable bag to keep your extra stuff that you do not use on trek and this can be kept at the hotel in Kathmandu or in Pokhara and get return after you return from the trek.
  • A down Jacket (we provide you one if you do not have and it is returned at the end of the trek).

  • Warm wool hat to cover your ears
  • A pair of light-weight warm gloves
