Champadevi day hike is short and best one day trek in Kathmandu that anyone can do. The Champadevi hill is located at an elevation of 2285m southwest of Kathmandu and a pilgrimage site with a Buddhist Stupa and a Hindu shrine.
The Champadevi day hike starts from Pharping after a short drive from Kathmandu. You commence to hike the trail that heads north along the pine-forested ridge for about half an hour, then the trail makes a round bound towards the south and takes another 3-hour's walk to reach Champadevi viewpoint.
The views of central and western Himalayan ranges are magnificent from the Champadevi hill. After enjoying the splendid views, you come down following the same trail to Pharping for about 2 hours and drive back to Kathmandu.
