Major Attractions of Nepal-Tibet Tour

Nepal

In Nepal, you will explore two of its big and famous cities - Kathmandu and Pokhara along with the wilderness center- Chitwan. All of these cities offer a different experience. Kathmandu is the capital of Nepal and is also known as the City of Temple. There are temples in every corner of this city and houses seven UNESCO World Heritage Sites. During the tour, you will visit one of the holiest temples of Hindus- Pashupatinath Temple, and head towards the largest stupa in Nepal, Boudhnath Stupa. You will then visit the famous Monkey Temple- Swayambhunath and the two durbar squares- Kathmandu Durbar Square, and Bhaktapur Durbar Square. Likewise, stroll down the lively streets of Thamel.

The tour then takes you to Pokhara, the City of Lakes. The laid-back vibe of this city has made it famous among travelers. A scenic drive from Kathmandu will take you to Pokhara. Here, you will go on a short hike to Naudanda and explore the tourist sites like Davis Falls, Gupteshwor Cave, Mahendra Cave, Peace Stupa, etc. You will also do boating on the tranquil Phewa Lake, enjoying the gorgeous sunset and tempting view of Mt. Fishtail (6,993 m).

Similarly, in Chitwan National Park, you will go on a jungle safari during which you can see wildlife like one-horned rhinos, deer, bear, royal Bengal tiger, red panda, crocodiles, and many other animals. Likewise, you will get to see a diverse range of flora and different species of birds. Spend time with baby elephants and learn to make food for them. Tibet

You will get two full days to explore different monuments in Lhasa, Tibet. During the tour, you will be guided by a professional tour guide who will take you to the places like Potala Palace - the winter residence of Dalai Lama and Norbulingka Palace - the summer residence of Dalai Lama. Likewise, you will visit Jokhang Temple built by King Songtsen Gampo. The tour then takes you to the three Gelug university monasteries- Ganden Monastery, Drepung Monastery, and Sera monastery. Further, there will be a short hike to Drayerpa Cave, where Guru Rimpoche is believed to mediate. The trail is lovely, passing by pine and rhododendron trees.

Wake up early and have a delicious breakfast. Meet with the tour guide and go on a day tour to different tourist sites like Pashupatinath Temple, Swayambhunath, Boudhanath Stupa, and Kathmandu Durbar Square.

You will get to see Nepali art and architecture during the Kathmandu day tour. The guide will introduce you to Nepali culture and tradition. In the evening, stroll on the vibrant streets of Thamel.

Today, you will drive to the second biggest city of Nepal, Pokhara. The drive will be around 7 hours long. You can see lush green hills, terraced fields, waterfalls, and settlement areas on the way.

There is also the option of fly and raft to Pokhara. Explore Lakeside Market and do boating on Phewa Lake in the evening.

Wake up early and drive to Sarangkot to witness snow-capped mountains and a gorgeous sunrise. Then, go on a day hike to Naudanda. Get fresh air and enjoy the beautiful scenery.

Drive to the wilderness capital of Nepal, Chitwan. The drive will be long and pleasant. Upon reaching Chitwan, check-in the hotel/resort. Later, visit nearby Tharu village and get to see their culture.

Wake up early and go on a thrilling canoe ride on the Rapti River. During the ride, you can see several aquatic animals and birds.

Today, you will go on a guided sightseeing tour of Bhaktapur Durbar Square. It is one of the three medieval durbar squares in Kathmandu.

There are many architectures and museums to visit in this durbar square. Explore Golden Gate, nine-storied Nyataple Temple, Dattatreya Temple, Palace of 55 Windows, Bhiravnath Temple, etc.

Do try out the famous yogurt called JuJu Dhau while visiting Bhaktapur Durbar Square.

A scenic flight from Kathmandu will take you to Lhasa today. Meet with our representative after landing at the Lhasa Airport. He will welcome you and take you to the hotel.

Energize yourself with a delicious breakfast and get ready for the tour. You will visit the famous Potala Palace, which was once the center of the spiritual and temporal power of Tibet.

Observe the precise architecture and craftsmanship in the palace. Later, visit the holiest temple of Tibet, Jokhang Temple, decorated by dazzling paraphernalia, flickering butter lamps, colorful prayer flags, and calming incense.

End the day exploring Barkhor Street, the most bustling part of Lhasa.

It is the second tour day in Lhasa. You will go on sightseeing at the Drepung monastery, which was home to 10,000 monks back in the 17th century.

From here, visit the Sera monastery, known for its warrior monks, and head towards the summer palace of Dalai Lama, Norbulingka.

Also, you will be hiking to Drayerpa Cave through a forested path.
