Ghorepani Poon Hill Ghandruk Trek is one of the most popular and short treks in the Annapurna region in Nepal. The 4-days Ghorepani Ghandruk Trek starts and ends in Pokhara. The sunrise view over the Himalayas from Poon Hill is one of the major attractions of this 4 Days Ghorepani Poon Hill Ghandruk Trek.

Ghorepani- Ghandruk Trek – 4 days is suitable for all aged people as old aged people, students, or even children can do this trek. We have a 10-days Ghorepani Poon Hill Trek that includes arrival and departure days to and from Nepal and a day tour in Kathmandu.

And, we also have 3 Days Poon Hill Trek for those who have limited days. The actual trek on 4day- Ghorepani Poon Hill Trek begins after a short drive to Nayapul, and the trekking goes to Tikhedhunga on the first day. You stop at a village to have lunch and trek further to Tikhedhunga for overnight.

You trek to Ghorepani on the next day, and the trek today takes about 5-6 hours. You hike up to Poon Hill to see the great Sunrise view over the Himalayas. You can view Dhaulagiri, Tukuche Peak, Nilgiri, Annapurna I, Annapurna south, Hiuchuli, fishtail, and many more mountains. You return to Ghorepani to have breakfast, and you further trek to Tadapani today.

You will trek to Nayapul on the fourth day of Ghorepani Poon Hill- 4 days trek and take a short drive to Pokhara to end the trek in Pokhara on your as this is the last day of the 4-day Ghorepani Poon Hill Trek. You can see the wild monkeys and many types of birds during the trek. You also can experience the local culture of Magar and Gurung people on trekking, and they are local indigenous of the areas.

You start the 4 days Ghorepani Ghandruk Trek today by taking a short drive from your hotel in Pokhara to Nayapul. The real trek starts from Nayapul and goes to Tikhedunga today. The trekking takes about 4 hours.

You trek via Birethati and few other villages to Tikhedunga, and you also stop at one of the villages to have lunch.

The trek is a little longer today, and the hardest day of your Ghorepani-Poon Hill Trek 4 days. You start the trekking after breakfast at the lodge, and the first part of the trek is uphill till Ulleri that takes about hours.

You trek through the villages of Ulleri, Banthathi, and Nangethati today and stop at Nangethati to have lunch. The trek today is through the forest of Rhododendron, which is the national flower of Nepa, and the forest is beautiful and colorful in its blooming season, which is from Mid-march to the start of May.

You can see the wild monkeys and many birds chirping in this forest while trekking.

Today, you trek to Poon Hill viewpoint early in the morning to view sunrise over the Himalayas. The hike to Poon Hill takes about 1 hour, and you view the 360-degree view of the Himalayas from Poon hill. You see Dhaulagiri, Tukuche peak, Nilgiri, Annapurna first, Annapurna South, Hiuchuli, and Fishtail from Poon Hill.

You return to Ghorepani and have breakfast, and start trek to Tadapani. The trekking today takes about 5 hours, and it is mostly through the forest of bamboo and Rhododendron. You can view the Himalayas from the trail.

You have a great view of the Himalayas from Tadapani. The trail to Annapurna Base Camp separates from Tadapani.

However, you follow the trail to Ghandruk, and you reach Ghandruk after about 3 hours of trek and stop here in Ghandruk to have lunch with a magnificent view of the Himalayas.

After lunch at Ghandruk, you trek about few hours to Kinche and drive to Pokhara, and the 4 days Ghorepani trek ends in Pokhara.

Yes, you need to have two permits to do 4Day Ghorepani Poon Hill Trek, and they are Annapurna conservation area entry (ACAP) and Trekkers Information Management System (TIMS) permit.

Best time to do 4 Days Ghorepani Poon Hill Trek

The 4-Day Ghorepani Poon Hill Ghandruk Trek is available and doable throughout the year. However, the autumn (from mid-September till mid-December) and spring (from the beginning of March until May end) are the best time.

Fitness level required for 4 Days Ghorepani Poon Hill Trek

A moderate level of fitness is compulsory with daily walking/trekking between 3 hours to 8 hours for short four days Ghorepani Poon Hill Trek. You will reach an altitude of 3210m above sea level on this trek. You do not need to have previous trekking experience. However, you need to be healthy and have a strong desire and stamina to complete the trekking.

We provide simple lodge/teahouse accommodation for rest three nights on 4 Days Ghorepani Poon Hill Trek, and the rooms are just a bed with a pillow and blankets on the lodges, and some of them are very basic, and a sense of adventure is necessary, and most of the rooms are on twin share.
