Escape Nepal offer Nagarkot Sunrise and Hike and we will start to drive about 4-5 am from your hotel in Kathmandu as we are going to see the sunrise over the Himalayas from Nagarkot View Point so, we need to be there before the sunrise and it takes about 1 and half hour to drive to there and once we reach there, you will view the sunrise view and you will have breakfast at the hotel in Nagarkot, after the breakfast, we will hike Chagunarayan Temple that takes about 3-4 hours all the way down to Chagunarayan. Visit the Chagunarayan temple, once of the UNESCO cultural heritage of Nepal then we will drive you to the hotel.
Nagarkot is located 32 kilometers east of Kathmandu, is one of the most popular station for its spectacular sunrise view of the Himalaya when the weather is clear. It offer great Himalaya views including Everest and also offers an excellent view of the Indrawati river valley to the east.
Chagunarayan Temple is situated on a ridge overlooking Bhaktapur, about 12 km to the east of Kathmandu. Dedicated to the Hindu god Vishnu, it is one of the oldest specimens of pagoda architecture in the valley. The temple dating from the Licchavi period is embellished with exquisite wood and stone carvings.
We will drive to Nagarkot from your hotel in Kathmandu, which will be about 4-5 am, Depending of different time of the year as the Sunrise time is differ each day/month and will have excellent Sunrise views over the Himalayas and we will hike down to Chagunaryan temple, world heritage site and will visit the temple then will return to hotel in Kathmandu.

The electricity is available in most of our holidays and in the cities like Kathmandu, Pokhara, Palpa, Lumbini, Chitwan, Nagarkot, Dhulikhel and in some of the villages on our trekking holiday, hiking holiday, climbing holiday and home stay trekking where you can re-charge your mobile phone and camera batteries, not all in all places of our trekking so, we advise you to have spare batteries when you do the trekking, hiking, home stay and climbing holidays and there is not electricity available on our camping adventure trekking holiday so, you need to have enough spare batteries when you do those trips.
We offer professional licensed tour guide on all our sightseeing holidays and there will be local nature guide in the Jungle tours, rafting guide for the river holidays and there will be trained trekking guide (handles the logistics and guide you and your team on the trek) on our trekking holidays, hiking holiday and adventure holiday and a Sherpa when there are 10 or more members in the group and porters to carry your luggage and there will be 1 porter for 2 members and a porter will carry about 20kg means 10 KG from each trekker and we will provide licensed climbing guide for climbing holidays.
We offer porters to your main luggage on our trekking holiday, hiking holiday, some stay treks and adventure holidays, you simply carry a day pack with water bottle, camera, sun-screen, spare jacket, etc. - a small load that allows full enjoyment of the trekking. A trek bag is ideal for your main luggage, plus a small lockable bag for travel clothes and anything that you do not need during trek which you can leave at hotel’s locker room/safe deposit box in Kathmandu for free of charge. Weight allowance at Nepal’s domestic airlines is 15 Kg; excess weight is chargeable at USD 1 or more per Kilo depending on sectors and a porter will carry up to 20 KG and there will be 1 porter for each 2 trekkers which mean 10 KG form each and if you will be planning for longer trek and need to bring much stuff then you might need extra porter as well.

The Wonderful Environment of the Himalayas is also an extremely fragile one. Increasing population density and numbers of travelers threaten the very beauty of Nepal. At Escape Nepal, we are extremely conscious about the environment and aim to minimize our impact as much as possible. As deforestation is one of the greatest environmental threats we face in this region, we do not encourage camp fires and encourage use of kerosene for cooking as an alternative fuel to wood. We also discourage trekkers from using wood-fuelled hot showers in lodges along the way. Many lodges, however, now have solar hot showers, a far more eco-friendly alternative.
Garbage disposal is another major problem and some of the busier trails can, at times, appear strewn with litter for miles. Our staff members are well motivated towards eco-friendly practices. We carry out all our garbage, apart from that which can be safely and easily burnt at the campsite. Our aim is to help protect and preserve this beautiful environment for future generations of trekkers to enjoy and we advise the same to you to keep the garbage on proper site and take return those with you to homes which are Non- biodegradable.
