The city of Lhasa is located between 29o 36'N and 19o 06' E at an altitude of 3650 meters above sea level towards the northern bank of Kyichu river. We have not included your arrival and departure days to and from Nepal and any tour in Nepal on our Tibet-Lhasa tour itinerary, however we can add those days plus others trek in Nepal including Everest Base Camp Trek or Annapurna Base camp Trek and our Lhasa tour starts after flight from Kathmandu to Lhasa which is more reminiscent to mountain flight. This flight will offer you the most spectacular mountain views of the beautiful mountain ranges. In Lhasa our representative will receive you in airport and transfer you to hotel. On the next two days of your tour, you will enjoy the sightseeing tour to Lhasa city where you will explore the Jhokhang Temple, the bustling Barkhor Streets, the wonderful Potala palace and the Holy Derpung and sera monasteries. On the fourth day you will take a flight back to Kathmandu then the tour will end.

Day 1: Flight to Lhasa and transfer to hotel: Fly to Lhasa airport and transfer to the hotel. It takes 2 hours on the way to Lhasa through the Yerlung Tsangpo and the Lhasa Kyichu River, overnight at hotel, ( A).
Day 2: Lhasa tour: In the Morning, you visit Potala palace, the seat of both religion and politics in Tibet. It was built in the 7th century by Tibetan king Songtsen Gampo and later renovated by the 5th Dalai Lama in the 17th century. Afternoon visit Sera monastery 5 kilometer north of Lhasa city which was built in 1419 by Jamchen Choeji, a disciple of Tsongkhapa,the founder of the Gelugpa sect. Sera are one of the three major monasteries of yellow sect in Tibet, overnight at hotel, (A, B).
Day 3: Lhasa tour: In the Morning, you visit Drepung monastery, which is the largest Monastery of the Gelugpa sect of Buddhism in Lhasa, which was built in 1416 by Jamyang chojie a disciple of Tsongkhapa. Afternoon, visit Jokhang Tempale and Barkhor market, this is the holiest shrine in Tibet and houses of golden statue of the Shakyamuni Buddha which was brought to Tibet by the Chinese princess Wenchen, overnight at hotel, ( A, B).
Day 4: Departure from Lhasa to airport and fly to your next destination: Transfer to the airport for your flight to Nepal or other destination (B).
