We have carefully designed the 09-day itinerary for your summer travel to Nepal which you can do from mid June to mid September however it does not mean that you cannot do this tour on other time, you can do this tour all year around including summer season, the holiday is including cultural visits in Kathmandu, trekking and hiking to Chisapani-Nagarkot plus visit to the Chitwan National park for the wild life and elephant safari, our package starts on your arrival at Kathmandu airport followed by sightseeing in valley and hike to Chisapani Nararkot and Chagunarayan and return to Kathmandu then drive to Chitwan National park for the jungle activities, explore the nature and wildlife and return to Kathmandu for your return flight to home.

Detail Itinerary

Day 01.Arrive at Kathmandu airport (1345meters) transfer to hotel and overnight at hotel: When flying to Kathmandu on a clear day, the views of snow-capped mountain peaks sprawl down below you & are almost breathtaking, beginning a whole link of memorable experiences that stay with you for a long time. Our escort and driver from Escape Nepal Holidays will meet you at the airport and escort you to your hotel. Our representative will help you check into your designated hotel; & at your hotel, you will be briefed about your holiday program and you will have free time and overnight at hotel. (A).

Day 02.Full day sightseeing in historical Kathmandu valley: After having breakfast at hotel, we will take you for the sightseeing tour in Kathmandu and the Kathmandu is the historical hub of Nepal and has been a popular destination for tourists ever since Nepal opened its doors to visitors. The city presents an interesting holy mix of Hinduism, Tibetan Buddhism and western influence in the valley. There will be a full day guided tour to the famous and biggest Hindu shrine of Pashupatinath, the largest Buddhist Stupa in Nepal Boudhanath, Swoyambhunath and Kathmandu durbar squire and all these sites you visit are UNESCO recognized World Heritage sites, overnight at your hotel, (A, B).

Note: you can take one hour scenic Everest Experience mountain flight in the morning before the tours starts, you are on vacation & this only happens once probably in a lifetime…enjoy it today because tomorrow never comes and please inform us for the arrangement.

Day 03: Drive from Kathmandu to Sundarijal and hike to Chisapani- 4 hours: After having breakfast at hotel, we will drive to Sundarijal which takes about an hour and we start our hiking, the trail gradually up with pine and oak forest, this Shivapuripuri National park is a good spot for bird watching and some other wild animal can be seen during this hike. From Chisapani we will see panoramic view of Himalaya and the valley. And this is the resident of Sherpa ethnic group; this is the nearest place from Kathmandu where you will experience the culture and the lifestyle of Sherpa indigenous, overnight at lodge. (A, B).

Day 04: Trekking form Chisapani to Nagarkot (2175m) - 5- 6 hours: After having breakfast at lodge, we start our trekking to Chauki Bhanjag, which takes about 2 and half hours and we will stop here for an hour for our lunch. We continue the charming trails lead 3 hours toward Nagarkot. (Walking 5/6 hrs) Nagarkot, (2175m) is by far the most popular. In the clear, weather the Himalaya range, stretching from Dhaulagiri in the west all the way past Everest to Kanchenjunga in the east, emerges from the darkness to greet the happy visitor with its awe inspiring majesty and beauty, overnight at hotel. (A, B).

Day 05: Hike from Nagarkot to Chagunarayan Temple and drive Kathmandu- 5 hours: We will have sun rise view early in the morning and Nagarkot lies top of the hill. This is also a good place to see Himalayan panorama through a Himalayan river valley. After breakfast, hike for couple of hour to Chagunarayan temple which is the very old and artistic temple of Nepal which is listed in UNESCO world heritage. After visiting this temple, we will drive to Kathmandu- free time and overnight at hotel. (A, B).

Day 06: Drive from Kathmandu to Chitwan - 6 Hours: After b/fast, we will drive down to Chitwan and this is about a 6-7 hours wonderfully scenic drive along the banks of the Trisuli river and you are able to view the beautiful landscapes, valleys, mountains, lush green hamlets set amidst color rural landscapes and so much more right from the windows of your bus. If you have any time constraints, you have options of taking private transport or flights, overnight at our Jungle lodge (A, B, L, D).

Day 07.Full Day Jungle Activities: After b/fast amidst the sweet chirping of birds, we set out for a Full day of jungle activities that include Jungle Walking, Elephant Back Riding Safari across streams & into the jungles; we also enjoy watching the Elephants bathing and visit the elephant Breeding center, at eventide, while having supper, we enjoy a scintillating Tharu cultural stick dance that’s real exciting to watch in the evening, overnight at our lodge (A, B, L, D).

Day 08. Chitwan- Kathmandu: In the morning after b/fast, you will drive from Chitwan to Kathmandu, transfer to hotel and overnight at your Hotel (A, B).

Day 09.Transfer to international airport for your final departure: We are confident that you’ve enjoyed one of the best holidays ever & will go back home with lasting memories of this amazing country. Tour Equipment

Tour Equipment : You do not need to have many types of equipment for tours holiday in Nepal like you need for the trekking, climbing, hiking and rafting holiday, All you need to bring for this tour is simply some comfortable clothes. In addition, you can also bring the personal items of your choice if you feel comfortable to carry them, the list of the equipment that you need for this tour is:

  • Duffle or Rucksack bag or suitcase
  • Day pack
  • Warm wool or synthetic hat that covers your ears (only if you are traveling in the cold season like January, February and December)
  • Goggles or sunglasses for sunbeam dust and wind.
  • A neck warmer is another piece of gear for extra warmth if you feel you will need it and is for cold season like January, February and December. (Optional)
  • 1 pair warm gloves (This is required, if you are traveling in cold seasons like January, February and December).
  • T-shirts
  • Waterproof (preferably breathable fabric) shell jacket (preferable if you are traveling in rainy season from June to September.)
  • 1 pair cotton pants (loose jeans/khakis), 1 pair shorts.
  • 2 pairs lightweight long underwear/thermals (if you are traveling in winter January, February and December).
  • Some pairs of liner socks, synthetic.
  • 1 pair light camping shoes or sneakers.

  • Toiletry kit. Be sure to include hand wipes, and liquid hand sanitizer.

The electricity is available in most of our holidays and in the cities like Kathmandu, Pokhara, Palpa, Lumbini, Chitwan, Nagarkot, Dhulikhel and in some of the villages on our trekking holiday, hiking holiday, climbing holiday and home stay trekking where you can re-charge your mobile phone and camera batteries, not all in all places of our trekking so, we advise you to have spare batteries when you do the trekking, hiking, home stay and climbing holidays  and there is not electricity available on our camping adventure trekking holiday so, you need to have enough spare batteries when you do those trips.

 

We offer porters to your main luggage on our trekking holiday, hiking holiday, some stay treks and adventure holidays, you simply carry a day pack with water bottle, camera, sun-screen, spare jacket, etc. - a small load that allows full enjoyment of the trekking. A trek bag is ideal for your main luggage, plus a small lockable bag for travel clothes and anything that you do not need during trek which you can leave at hotel’s locker room/safe deposit box in Kathmandu for free of charge. Weight allowance at Nepal’s domestic airlines is 15 Kg; excess weight is chargeable at USD 1 or more per Kilo depending on sectors and a porter will carry up to 20 KG and there will be 1 porter for each 2 trekkers which mean 10 KG form each and if you will be planning for longer trek and need to bring much stuff then you might need extra porter as well.

When you have tours holidays in Nepal then the luggage is not a problem as our vehicle will drive from one place to other places.

 

Each morning after packing our bags and hot breakfast at campsite or lodge, we set off on the day’s trek and after walking for 3-4 hours, we stop for lunch at around midday at the camp or available lodge/restaurants which may take 1-2 hours for lunch and will start the trek again, The afternoon’s walk is generally shorter and we usually arrive at our destination in time for afternoon tea. The remainder of the afternoon can be spent exploring the village and surroundings, doing a bit of washing or simply relaxing with a good book. On some days, we will arrive at our destination by lunchtime and the entire afternoon will be free. After dinner, the evening will often be spent playing cards and reliving the day’s adventures, before retiring for a well-earned sleep.
