Nepal Government has revised the travel protocol for international travelers traveling to Nepal and has removed the 7-day mandatory hotel quarantine. We hope that it makes it easier to travel to Nepal.

Furthermore, the provision of mandatory 5 thousand US dollars Corona insurance has also been removed. Now, tourists can travel to Nepal with normal travel insurance.

International travelers who have been vaccinated against COVID-19 may participate in tourism activities such as trekking, sightseeing, hiking, rafting safari, etc…and who have not been vaccinated against COVID-19 also can travel Nepal with PCR negative report within 72 hours. They need to re-test the COVID-19 in their expenses on arrival at Kathmandu and participate in tourism activities if the report is negative. And, if the report is positive, you need to stay in Quarantine in your expenses till the report is negative.

How to get a Tourist Visa

You can apply for a Nepal visa in the Nepali embassy or mission in your own country and get a visa.

or,

You can get an arrival visa at the entry point of Nepal. You need to have Recommendation Letter to participate in tourism activities in Nepal from a tourist agency like Escape Nepal. Then, you need to have Proof of vaccination against Covid-19 or PCR negative report not before 72 hours along with you on your travel, then you can get an arrival visa at Kathmandu airport and other entry points.

The year 2020 is a panic year for the tourism industry of Nepal. So, we wish that the provisions to travel to Nepal are helpful to revive the tourism of Nepal.
