Trip Overview

Langtang Gosaikunda Lake Trek is geographically based close to the Tibetan border and remote valleys enclosed by silver-grey mountains that end in a circulated chain connected to the peak of Langtang Lirung at (7246m). Langtang Gosaikunda Lake Trek is a combined venture that extends into the lovely fertile Langtang Valley and the Holiest Lake of Gosaikunda. Both of them are located in the Langtang National Park.

The terrain of Langtang - Gosaikunda Trek jells well with the mountainous landscapes that stand tall over green meadows & quiet hamlets where the world stands still amidst the chatter of unique birds happy in natural settlements of the habitats that are home to them for eternity.

The forest in the Langtang Gosaikunda Lake Trekking trail is also well known for being home to the region’s special wildlife, which includes red pandas, Himalayan black bears, wild boar, and Langur monkeys.

The views of snow-capped mountains - Langtang Lirung, Pemthang Ri, Langshisha Ri, Dorje Lakpa, and Kangchenpo, & Tillman’s fluted peaks make up some of the most formidable vistas that are just awesome to behold in Langtang Gosaikunda Trek.

The Langtang Gosaikunda Trek begins from Syabru Bensi, a lively little trading town, which is about a 9 Hours’ drive from Kathmandu. The trek then goes through larch and rhododendron forests amidst the cackling of birds that seem to welcome us the moment we enter their homes.

Langtang Gosaikunda area is rich in wildflowers and birds, as we explore our way through the head of the valley. On either side of the valley, mountains rise to the skies, gracing white puffy clouds. The valley offers pine forest, slow-moving rivers, swift mountain streams, rugged rock and snow-capped peaks, grassy glens, and meadows strewn with daisies and wild primulas.

In the upper part of the valley, there are snow bridges spanning angry torrents, high passes enveloped in silver mist, tiny lakes with icebergs floating on them, and water of crystalline brightness that displays the power of nature & God.

We retrace our steps to Landslide and take the upper route which leads us to Syabru Gaon. Then, we continue ascending to the Holiest Lake of Gosaikunda on our Langtang Gosaikunda Trek, which is where our wonderful trek culminates. The trek goes through sub-tropical jungles, dense forest of oak, birch, and pine, and the lovely valley, which is of alpine meadows and yak pastures.

Gosainkunda is a sacred lake, which is very important for Hindus and Buddhists. We reach there & enjoy the lake & its entire surroundings, we then descend to Dhunche for our interesting drive to Kathmandu.

There are some other areas to trek in this region, you can combine the Langtang Gosaikunda Trek with Tamang heritage trail or you pass over Lauri Binayak (Gosaikunda Lass) by taking the full Langtang Circuit Trek and returning Kathmandu through Helambu Valley.
