Dhampus Sarangkot Trek explores verdant forests and mountain villages of the lower Annapurna region. It is a short and easy trek perfect for any age group or family holiday, and the trail is comfortable with a few steep and rocky sections.

Dhampus Sarangkot Trek combines both tour and hiking in the trip. You will be exploring ancient monuments in two of Nepal's big cities- Kathmandu and Pokhara. The monuments present Nepali art, architecture, and history.

Dhampus Sarangkot Trek is a short trek and a good alternative to the famous Ghorepani Poon Hill Trek. The trail is less crowded and can be done by people of any age.

You observe stunning snow-capped Himalayan mountains like Mt. Manaslu (8,156 m), Mt. Annapurna (8091 m), Mt. Machhapuchhre (6,993 m), Mt. Dhaulagiri (8,167 m), Lamjung Himal (6,983 m), and many others during the Dhampus Sarangkot Trek.

You also get several chances to witness gorgeous sunrises and sunsets views. The trail is beautiful and offers alluring sceneries. A scenic drive to Pokhara

You have a scenic drive from Kathmandu to Pokhara when going on Sarangkot Dhampus Trek. The drive to Pokhara is around 6 to 7hours long. You see lush green hills, rivers, waterfalls, terraced farms, and views of small settlements during the drive. If you love long drives, then it is going to be a pleasant time for you.

Dhampus Sarangkot Is a soft trekking trail

You reach Dhampus Phedi in a short 40 minutes. You trek to Dhampus which takes about 2 hours. You trek through small villages and forested paths to Naudanda the next day. The trail also crosses streams and suspension bridges before reaching Sarangkot. There will be some ascends and descends throughout the trek. It is low altitude trek so, the Dhampus Sarangkot trail is a soft hiking trail.

The trail goes through many villages, resided by people from diverse communities. You can see their lifestyle and traditions closely. The locals are friendly & welcoming. So, feel free to interact with them.

Sarangkot is mostly known for paragliding, but it is also a vantage point to witness mountains and hills. Let us know if you want to taste the thrill of paragliding, we will arrange it on time for you. You visit places like Davis Falls, Bat Cave, Phewa Lake, Bindhyabasini Temple in Pokhara, etc.

Sightseeing in Kathmandu

You go on a guided sightseeing tour in Kathmandu, that includes visit to Kathmandu Durbar Square, Swayambhunath, Boudhanath Stupa, and Pashupatinath Temple in Kathmandu. The tour will be led by a professional tour guide, who will introduce you to the sites. The art, architecture, and craftsmanship, that will be seen during the tour will showcase rich Nepali culture & history.

During the guided Kathmandu tour, you visit a few of those monuments like the holy Pashupatinath Temple, Boudhnath Stupa, Swayambhunath, and Kathmandu Durbar Square.

Pokhara is a beautiful city with its calming charms and stunning lakes. It will be around a 6 to 7 hours long drive from Kathmandu to Pokhara.

The drive is phenomenal because of the breath-taking scenery. Upon reaching Pokhara, get refreshed in your hotel and explore around the Lakeside Market. There is a beautiful lake called Phewa, where you can see people boating and enjoying the sunset.

After having breakfast, you will drive to Dhampus. It takes approximately 40 minutes to reach Dhampus from Pokhara. The views along the drive are beautiful.

You can see hills and snow-capped mountains like Mt. Dhaulagiri (8,167 m), Mt. Annapurna (8,091 m), Mt. Fishtail (6,993 m), etc.

Wake up early to see a gorgeous sunrise and the Annapurna Himalayan range. After that, have breakfast and begin walking towards Sarangkot.

The trail descends to Ghatte Khola and crosses it on a suspension bridge. Further, an uphill climb will lead you to Naudanda that continues towards the Sarangkot hill. It is a popular place for paragliding.

Take a short hike to the viewpoint to see the tempting sunrise and Annapurna & Dhaulagiri range. Later, you drive back to Pokhara.

You can visit places like Davis Falls, Bat Cave, Gupteshwor Cave, etc... As per your time. You are free to dine in as per your desire in the evening.
